ROSE CARDAMOM CHOCOLATE TART

INGREDIENTS FOR SHELL

  • 2 TBSP sugar

  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 cup APF (All Purpose Flour)

  • 8 TBSP chilled and cubed unsalted butter

  • 1 Lg. egg yolk

  • 1 TBSP rose water

  • 2 tsp cardamom


INGREDIENTS FOR CHOCOLATE GANACHE

  • 1 Bag of ENJOY LIFE FOODS dark chocolate chunks (10 oz).

  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream

  • Flakey salt

  • (optional) Dried rose petals and fresh edible flowers for decor


DIRECTIONS FOR TART SHELL

  1. Start off by combining flour, sugar, cardamom and salt into a food processor.

  2. Next, while pulsing add the chilled cubes of butter one at a time into the food processor. The end result should look like coarse clumpy sand.

  3. Now, add in the egg yolk and rose water, continue to pulse until the dough comes together.

  4. Next, form the dough into a disk and chill for 2 hr. (up to two days).

  5. Once chilled, roll out the dough and line a tart pan with a removable bottom. Next, line the dough with parchment paper and place pie weights or beans on top to hold down the tart while baking.

  6. bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, then remove the weights and bake for another 10 minutes or until the bottom is golden.

  7. Remove from oven and let completely cool before removing the tart shell from the pan.


DIRECTIONS FOR CHOCOLATE GANACHE

  1. Start off by heating up the heavy cream.

  2. Place Enjoy Life Foods Dark Chocolate Chunks into a heat proof bowl, and pour the heated cream over, let sit for 5 minutes. Then stir until smooth.

  3. Pour into cooled tart shell and top with flakey salt and dried rose petals.

  4. Now, let chill uncovered for 1 hr.

  5. Serve up a slice and ENJOY LIFE!
